Church School
First Presbyterian Church welcomes members of all ages. Sunday school meets every Sunday during worship, and all children present for the service are invited to attend. There are seasonal parties and outings through the year.

This fall we're studying the N.T. Wright for Everyone series on The Letters of John, using the inductive method. We meet Wednesdays, September 23 to November 4, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Social Room. How the congregation organizes itself
One way a congregation fulfills its mission is to organize itself to carry out that mission.
As a Presbyterian church, the Session is the ruling body at the local level. Session has elected members who are ordained as ruling elders. It is convened by the Minister, the teaching elder, and its duties and terms are set out by the Book of Forms of The Presbyterian Church in Canada. Session has oversight of everything that happens in the church, except for the budget, which is voted on at an annual meeting of the congregation.
The Board of Managers is a committee of the congregation, with new members elected each year at the annual meeting. Its primary duties are the maintenance of the building and surrounding property, and the administration of the congregational budget.
