Visiting a church for the first time can feel unfamiliar. Whether you have attended for years, have been away for a while or are exploring faith for the first time, you are welcome here.

What to expect
What is a Sunday service like?
Sunday worship lasts approximately one hour. The service includes traditional hymns, prayer, Scripture readings, a sermon and music.
The church has a strong musical tradition, and choir music, instrumental music or solos are often part of worship. Visitors may participate as much or as little as they feel comfortable.
You do not need to bring anything, and visitors will not be pressured to give money or become members.
Getting here
Arriving, parking and transit
The church is in the heart of downtown Edmonton, easily reached from all parts of the city.
When should I arrive?
Consider arriving 10–15 minutes before the 11:00 a.m. service. This will give you time to park, enter the building and find a seat without feeling rushed.
Where can I park?
A church parking lot is located directly beside the building. Parking may be limited, so arriving a few minutes early is recommended.
Coming by public transit
Bay/Enterprise Square LRT Station is a nearby option, with entrances around Jasper Avenue at 103 and 104 Street. The church is a short walk west, at 105 Street. Downtown bus stops run along Jasper Avenue and nearby streets.
Routes and schedules change, so please check before travelling.
Which entrance should I use?
Most visitors may enter through the main front entrance. Once inside, members of the congregation will be happy to direct you to the sanctuary, children's areas, washrooms or coffee area.
For visitors who require step-free access, an elevator entrance is available from the parking-lot side of the building. The elevator provides access to the main sanctuary level and basement.

What should I wear?
People come dressed in everything from casual clothing to more formal Sunday attire. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. You will be welcomed just as you are.
Will someone welcome me?
Yes. First Presbyterian is a friendly congregation where everyone is encouraged to welcome one another.
Near the beginning of the service, there is a brief time when people greet those around them. Some people shake hands, while others simply smile or say hello. You are welcome to participate in whichever way feels comfortable.
Can I bring my children?
Yes. Children and families are welcome. Sunday School meets during Sunday worship, and children who are present are invited to attend. The church also offers a nursery and youth activities.
When you arrive, ask a greeter for directions and current information about children's programming.
Afterwards
What happens after worship?
After worship, everyone is invited to stay for coffee, tea and conversation. This is a relaxed opportunity to meet members of the congregation, ask questions and learn more about the church.
Visitors are welcome to stay, but there is no pressure to do so.
Online worship
Can I attend online?
Yes. Sunday services are livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person or who would like to experience a service online before visiting.
